When the tax season arrives, everyone gets stressed. But you need not worry as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has stated that “Combining direct deposit with IRS e-File is the fastest way to receive your refund. IRS issues more than 9 out of 10 refunds in less than 21 days. You can track your refund using the IRS’s ‘Where’s My Refund’* tool.”

Therefore, direct deposit is the fastest way to receive your tax refund directly into your Chime Spending Account. Most Americans wait for their payday and they want their refund as soon as possible.

But not to worry, here we will discuss some simple steps on how to get a tax refund on Chime Cards.

How to get Chime Bank Tax Refund Early

Filling with direct deposit is very easy and you just need to follow some simple steps as follows:

Step 1- Get Your Bank Account Details

The most important thing is to get your bank account details before filing for a refund, whether online or offline mode. To get your Chime Spending Account and routing numbers follow these steps-

  1. Launch the Chime app on your phone or log in to your Chime account on Chime website.
  2. Click on the “Move Money” option and then select the “Direct Deposit” section to get your Chime Spending Account and routing numbers.
  3. Here you can also email, download or print your direct deposit form or your account information. The account information is required to file for the direct deposit of your refund.

Step 2- Fill up Correct Spending Account Information while Filing for Refund

If your taxes are filed by a professional tax preparer or accountant then inform them that you want your tax refund check through direct deposit and share your correct account information with them.

If you are filling your tax refund by using tax software such as TurboTax or Quickbooks, then you need to select the option direct deposit when asked to answer how you would like to receive your tax refund check. After choosing the direct deposit option you need to fill up your Chime Spending Account number and routing number.

Please double-check or even triple check the account information provided by you to avoid any kind of mistakes that may obstruct your refund.

Step 3- Get Instant Notifications on Your Email or Phone

Expect to get your refund within 21 days if you have selected the direct deposit as your payment options. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is expected to issue 9 out of 10 direct deposit refunds within 21 days. As soon as the refund is deposited to your Chime Spending Account, you will receive an email and a notification on your mobile. You can track your refund status by using the IRS’s ‘Where’s My Refund’* tool.

You can make any amount of direct deposit on your Chime Spending Account but if you are filing a refund of more than $10000 then you need to present extra verification of your identity and account.
